RADWIN have announced that Agile Networks has deployed the RADWIN 5000 JET Point-to-Multipoint with Beam-Forming antenna technology. A long-standing RADWIN customer, Agile Networks is a premier telecom provider operating a hybrid fiber-wireless network in 88 counties throughout Ohio, North America. Since 2014, Agile Networks has deployed nearly 700 RADWIN 5000 Point-to-Multipoint and RADWIN 2000 Point-to-Point wireless links for backhaul and access. RADWIN 5000 JET is the latest addition to Agile’s rapidly expanding network which serves enterprises, government, oil & gas and public safety agencies.
Kyle Quillen, Founder and CTO, Agile Networks: “The Agile Network supports mission-critical public safety communications so it is vital that the network is rock-stable and operational in any condition. First-responders such as Police and Fire departments across the state depend on our network to perform in every situation regardless of adverse weather or non-line-of-sight conditions. RADWIN 5000 JET consistently outperforms all other vendor equipment and delivers the fiber-grade service that we guarantee our customers.
Steve Merriman, Director of Network Services, Agile Networks: “RADWIN 5000 JET effectively overcomes radio interference as a result of its smart Beam-Forming antenna and also offers great spectral efficiency, reducing the amount of spectrum needed for our deployments. Due to JET’s small form factor our tower costs are reduced, enabling us to realize significant operational cost savings. There’s also great value for us in the fact that JET is backward compatible with the existing RADWIN 5000 install base. As we continue to expand we’re looking to standardize RADWIN 5000 JET across our entire network.”
Dennis Stipati, RADWIN’s General Manager, North America: “One of our key goals is to grow with our customers by continuously bringing to market innovative solutions. Today RADWIN is uniquely poised to fulfill the needs of forward-looking telecom providers with its complete portfolio of solutions. We are excited to partner with Agile Networks as they expand their network and drive wireless broadband connectivity throughout the state of Ohio and beyond.”
